UPDATE - THE REPRESENTATIVE VISITS AND LETTERS

So far, we have had one visit by a group of TI's to a representatives' office about our issues (southern California) and there are a couple other groups in the process of organizing.  For best results, those considering going to their representatives' office should make an appointment to speak with someone there and give them our information.  If a meeting cannot be arranged, then we should at least present the material to them at their office in person. 

What we are asking of them to send a letter requesting a congressional hearing to the Senate Judiciary Committee.  This is the committee that our attorney wrote to requesting a hearing and inquiry regarding our issues as well  The three letters we want to carry to hand to them are: 1) the letter from our attorney 2) Jim Guest's letter 3) our group letter in support of the attorney's letter.  Plus, whatever other supporting documents that we wish to add, including a brief personal account of your harassment. 

We would also like as many signatures as we can to support our group letter.  So far we have about 100.   If we could gather about 100 or so more, we'd be in a better position to let legislators know the scope of the problem.  Those that wish to sign the letter, just send your name, city and state, and email address to Cassandra at:  gardenlove1988@msn.com

INTERESTING CASE OF ORGANIZED TELEPHONE STALKING

I'm not sure what morning show this is, but if verifiable, this would be a very important case of organized telephone stalking, with stalkers who apparently have the ability to see inside the home and report to the occupants what they are wearing, what they are doing, etc. all via a cellphone, which the stalkers have remotely commandeered so that it will even turn back on when the owners try to shut it off.  Some of what they speak of is a LOT like what many of us endure on a regular basis, and the victims, like many of us have no idea who is doing this to them, which produces skeptics, including the expert the show brought in to explain how this happens.  It's an interesting video for our community to view.

LAST SATURDAY'S PODCAST

First of all, apologies to all those that called in last week and couldn't speak.  I was wondering why it such a quiet call, but a number of people had been left out of the conversation for a while.   What happened was, due to some complaints from callers about intruders into podcasts writing profane messages, Talkshoe has installed a number of new safeguards in response.  From now on, unregistered guests will be not be able to speak or chat upon entering the room until unmuted by the host.  So it may be advantageous for you to register to avoid this limitation.  I realized this was happening about mid-call last week and had to constantly check and unmute people as they arrived.  I hope this resolves any issues, if not let me know right away by phone or email.   Derrick - dcr518@msn.com

JIM GUEST & LOUISE

I received a call from Louise, Jim Guest's chief of staff who's saying they are receiving a barrage of calls from TI's - 108 this week! -  some of whom have been demanding and belligerent.  Although they would like to continue to help us and they will, she would like to relay to the TI community that Jim Guest's role is legislative.  They cannot speak to our pyschologist or psychiatrist on anyone's behalf, nor can they come and pick people up or comply with the demands that some people are making upon them.  I spoke to her my concern that some of these belligerent people may be operatives.  At any rate, they are spending an inordinate amount of time dealing with TI's on the phone and hearing demands from them such as "You work for us!" and demanding they must help them.  These are some of the reasons why we have been reluctant in the past to convey representative information when it materializes.  She doesn't mind making referrals and is glad to help.  However, the repeat callers are sapping a lot of their time and energy.  For those that are posting the letter around the web, please also add that Representative Guest is a legislator.  He is working to pass laws against what is happening to us and many other people. He cannot provide support services, but he can and will refer people to contact us for networking, support and advocacy.

CRISIS INTERVENTION COMMITTEE

During this past week we had to use the services of an impromptu committee of TI's to help with a situation that was stressful to someone well-known in this community.  It then occurred to me that a regular group of people on an ongoing basis is needed particularly by this group because of the regularity in which we encounter emergency situations and there is noone for a TI to turn to for help.  So I would like to assemble an on-call list of people willing to meet as a group and support, advise, refer, and provide assistance to a TI in distress.  As you all realize, our problems tend to get complex with all the variables that we are dealing with, so several heads are usually better than one.  Any volunteers for this group, please contact me as soon as possible.  Thanks,  Derrick - dcr618@msn.com

FFCHS LETTER TO THE INTERNATIONAL PRESS

This is the text of a letter written by Joanne Carey and Sheila Epstein.  It was sent out starting Thursday, April 23 and is an  appeal to the international press for help with our issues:

Dear Editor:

We are a group of U.S. and international citizens who have come together because we are targets for the agencies/contractors/gangs that are developing and testing a newly-declassified grouping of supposedly "non-lethal” weapons, manufactured by 830 companies and corporations in 47 countries (Omega report to the European Parliament on banning Electromagnetic Weapons).  Most of the weapons can be altered for lethal use and for purposes of torture, disablement, interrogation and coercive persuasion on the citizens of any country. 

Some of the weapons in the Active Denial System (ADS) classification can produce a "skin on fire" effect and have, during testing on volunteers, resulted in second and third degree burns on persons caught in "wrong setting" or prolonged exposure to the beam, as demonstrated on The Discovery Channel and "60 Minutes", an American news show.

Additionally, other related weapons - lasers, LRAD, V2K, hypersonics, subvocals, and subliminals - can put loud, terrifying noises and voices INSIDE the skulls of non-consensual targets, many of whom are left traumatized, terrified, in shock, memory and brain-damaged after short, intense, or long-term (24/7) exposure to this "Thought Police", beyond "1984" method of "crowd control”.

Numerous reports of use during interrogations, "behavioral modification" and "dissident control" have left targets brain-washed, deemed "schizophrenic", and suffering from severe Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for the rest of their lives.  Most governments will not admit to the existence of the weapons since they can be used at a "hands off" safe, anonymous distance by sadistic persons threatening all of our individual human rights. If we try to reveal the problem, many of us are harassed, tortured by electromagnetics and electronic voices, and referred to as mental cases. Therefore, the so-called research continues mainly because it is classified, thus protected under the National Security Act.

It is unthinkable that citizens of a democracy find it necessary to take their grievances to other countries. Sadly, we have been rendered invisible in our own country and need the help of world opinion to stop these human rights atrocities.

We implore you to pass laws recognizing these devices as "same as weapons used in the commission of crimes" and "assault with a deadly weapon" when used in murder, felonious assaults, and psyops attacks which leave victims without memory or mind; and in rapes and kidnappings, disabling hostages.

We implore each and every one of you to petition your governments to pass laws against the use of these weapons in your countries and to support at United Nations levels, laws banning the use of electromagnetic and radio-frequency weapons world-wide.

We also implore each of you to support laws banning non-consensual experimentation on individuals with these weapons by governments, private interests or "Militia" non-standard forces, in taking away our individual freedoms, religions, cultures and ways of Life.  We ask that the weapons be banned and kept out of the hands of earth's criminal elements and individuals wishing to cause others grievous harm.  We ask that the weapons be outlawed.

Thank you for taking the time to hear our concerns. As our lawyer has stated, we are victims of covert criminal activities that have gone on unchecked for far too long. It is a campaign of lies, cover-ups, suppression, control, harassment, and domestic torture. All across this country and the globe covert harassment groups have sprung up and have begun to victimize a wide spectrum persons in this society for a variety of reasons: from government whistleblowers, illegal human research subjects, and political activists to targets of opportunity such as women, children, the elderly, blacks and other minorities, gays and lesbians, those institutionalized with mental illness, prisoners, newly-immigrated citizens, as well as many unsuspecting, law-abiding Americans.

People in every state of the union are being targeted for abuses such as stalking, monitoring, harassment on the job and in their private affairs, and directed energy weapons assaults that induce severe physical trauma such as shocks, stings, burning, nausea, and sleep deprivation, to name a few. The average American would be astonished to learn the extent to which classified surveillance technology has advanced today; to learn that remote manipulation and torture of the human mind and body is now possible and that all are at risk of horrendous abuses at the hands of technological predators.

We believe the source of these attacks to be military intelligence and other government investigative agencies with ever-expanding budgets for research and acting as though they are beyond any oversight.

We, the undersigned, are therefore compelled to request that congressional hearings be held to examine our issues and hear our accounts of what is happening covertly in this country. It is time to end the cover-up and restore our country once again to its founding constitutional principles of freedom and justice for all.

Dear Senator:

I represent Freedom from Covert Harassment and Surveillance, an organization with several hundred members around the country and internationally who have reason to believe they are targeted with various non-lethal weapons. These targeted individuals suffer physical and psychological symptoms as a result of the remote manipulation. We seek your office’s assistance in initiating hearings and a fact-finding congressional inquiry into the government agencies and/or private companies that are targeting citizens. Many citizens are desperate to be freed from the disturbing, intrusive and oppressive targeting.

Evidence supports the conclusion that weapons exist that could be used against individuals, based on U.S. Patent and Trademark Office filings, public releases by agencies, and other technologies that indicate the level of technological sophistication. The weapons are believed to be based on electromagnetism, microwaves, sonic waves, lasers and other types of directed energy, and were characterized as "psychotronic" in Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s draft of House Resolution 2977, the Space Preservation Act of 2001. Furthermore, it is undeniable that government agencies have tested citizens without permission in the past; for example, the CIA’s human experimentation discussed in Orlikow v. U.S., 682 F.Supp. 77 (D.D.C. 1988), secretly administered lysergic acid diethylamide discussed in United States v. Stanley, 483 U.S. 669 (1987), and military chemical experimentation as discussed in Congressional Committee Report 103-97, 103d Congress, 2d Session, S. Prt. 103-97 (Dec. 8, 1994). Lastly, the sheer numbers of people complaining of being targeted, including people with post-graduate degrees and a lifetime of achievements, and the similarities in symptoms tend to outweigh a dismissive response based on charges of anecdotal evidence or group paranoia.

Several plaintiffs or groups of plaintiffs have filed suits in the past levying similar charges of directed weaponry, but, to my knowledge, all have been dismissed due to immunity and state secret defenses, and the lack of evidence of a direct link to agencies or companies. It is difficult to legally prove targeting by psychotronic weapons when the perpetrators operate from remote, unseen locations and therefore the targeting can be dismissed as delusional. Given the wide scope of alleged targeting, there is a certain risk of sounding too conspiratorial, however, common denominators such as physical symptoms and medical reports, surveillance scenarios, harassment techniques, and more can be readily established.

Freedom from Covert Harassment and Surveillance will gladly provide your office, and any legislator and investigator, reports from targeted individuals documenting instances of targeting, medical documentation, and recordings. This firm will provide research and investigation results upon request as well. We will diligently work with anyone willing to help. Please carefully consider convening hearings and an inquiry and collaborating with other legislators in an effort to uncover and stop this inhumane practice.

The Senate Judiciary office has informed us that we just need a letter from at least one senator requesting a congressional hearing to begin this process. What I would recommend now is that we follow-up this letter from our lawyer with in-person visits to our local Senate offices with requests for a hearing.  We should carry this letter with us, along with Rep. Jim Guest's letter and other documentation.  And follow-up further after this with phone calls. 

I will also write a letter to which I'd like to attach the signatures of as many TI's as possible grouped by state, so each senator can easily see who are his/her constituents.  All this will also be a topic for the Saturday night podcast.

SCIENCE CHANNEL BLOG

Thanks to all who responded to the article written and posted at the link below regarding the declassified document that Donald Friedman received from the US Army at Ft. I don't get to browse mcforums nearly as much as I used to, but I feel extremely fortunate to have found this article on Wednesday that could be extremely important for our lawsuit. The article speaks about insects that are used in espionage - something that has been floating around for a while. But the important thing though is the video that accompanies the article which demonstrates that what many of us TI's are experiencing in this community is entirely possible.  The story here has to do with implant experimentation on insects, but it also contains many of the symptoms that human implant victims describe after being implanted, such as: being able to see what the subject sees, remote body manipulation, phantom odors, nanotechnology, and more.  I could hardly believe I was seeing it. This was presented as a TV news story.  Therefore, the science for this clearly exists, and therefore the leap from this technology to what many of us are experiencing on a human level will be a lot more believable.

RE: THE TERM GANGSTALKING 

Yesterday, I talked to a lady who is being stalked by a gang - gangstalked.  She describes many of the same scenarios that many of us experience, except that her attackers are gang members, such as: phantom noises in her home,  EM weaponry attacks, and vandalism to her property.  There is one major difference in her case.  The police are fully cooperative and sympathetic and have given her lots of information and advice concerning the tactics used by the gang members.  One detective even told her that the noises in her home are being generated electronically and being directed remotely by someone on a laptop. And that her stalkers could electronically make her home seem like it is being haunted.  The sophistication of their knowledge was astounding.  Yet if one of our members were to have complained to this department about people covertly harassing them, they may have considered that person crazy and would've had them committed.

The city where this is occurring is Shreveport, Louisiana - a place where there is much gang activity.  There is also a department established to handle gang-related matters exclusively.   I advised this lady that since the police department is helping her and investigating this matter locally for her, that she is doing far better than any of us Ti's and to let us know how things turn out for her.  They have also stated to her though, that they cannot guarantee her safety from her stalkers.

Statement to everyone We need to show medical proof of
being bombarded by dew's. The only test I know that
shows an increase of non-ionizing Radiation is the

practitioners so it is not recognized by Western
Medicine Doctors. I wish there was a way for Western

March 23, 2008 -- At last year's Gadgetoff convention in New York, the
Department of Homeland Security's undersecretary of science and technology
showed off the latest and greatest in nonlethal weapons: a puke gun.
"The dazzler is a sea-sickness machine," said Jay Cohen, a retired naval
admiral, who brandished the weapon for the audience to see. The dazzler,
formally called the LED Incapacitator, affects the body's equilibrium with a
flashlight-shaped device with variously colored flashing laser lights, like a
psychedelic disco ball.
"I'm not going to point it at you," he said. "I was with a group of GE
executives yesterday, and I held it up like this, and just the reflection made
them nauseous."
The audience of tech enthusiasts wanted the same demonstration, however. "Come
on, do it," someone in the audience screamed. "Well, this is a tough audience,"
Cohen said. "Are there barf bags?"
The audience may have been laughing, but the device is no joke. It even has a
fictional precursor: in the film, "Minority Report," police officers touch
criminals with a "sick stick," which makes them instantly vomit.
Except science fiction now is reality, as an array of nonlethal weapons that
make you temporarily blind, deaf or sick are nearing deployment.
For decades, nonlethal weaponry was largely limited to blunt-impact objects like
bean bags and pellet guns. Taser, a neuro-muscular disruptor, became immensely
popular with law enforcement, but its major drawback is its limited range; the
military wants weapons that can go beyond tens of meters. Thus the interest in
"directed energy" weapons, i.e. devices that use light, sound, or in the case of
one device, heat waves, to deter enemies.
Laser "dazzlers," now gaining popularity in the military, are typically designed
to temporarily disorient an attacker. "The different colors - alternating colors
- definitely has a nauseating effect, and is more disorienting than one color,"
said Ti Casazza, whose Connecticut-based company, LE Systems, sells dazzlers to
law enforcement and the military.
Casazza described one experiment using red and green lasers at a mock prison
riot. "It made everyone nauseous," he confirmed. The problem with such a device,
he maintained, is that it relies on an aggressor being very close to the weapon.
"The whole idea of vision impairment is to keep the person at a distance, to
understand their intent," he said. "If it's not bright enough to make you stay
away, then they can be close enough to do you harm."
At the other end of the sensory spectrum, acoustic nonlethal devices are
increasingly popular, particularly for protecting ships from attackers. Most
famously, in 2005, a cruise ship used a Long Range Acoustic Device, or LRAD, to
hold pirates at bay off the coast of Africa.
Though American Technology Corp. markets LRAD as a "device" not a "weapon," the
company acknowledges that the long-range hailer can be used as something like a
sonic blaster. "If you can stand there and take it, you'll hurt their hearing,"
said Robert Putnam, a spokesman for the company. "It's like a hot stove: If you
can take the pain, you will get burned, but it's your choice." The Navy, Coast
Guard and private customers have already bought the LRAD.
Another audio defensive device is the Inferno, a "sonic barrier" device
developed in Sweden. Unlike the acoustic hailers, Inferno combines sound
frequencies that are supposed to have a uniquely disturbing effect on the human
body. Maurice Goldman, the US managing director for Inferno, said chest pain,
dizziness, and nausea are among the symptoms that informal test subjects have
described after being exposed to the Inferno.
In a recent test of the device on police officers (and this reporter), Goldman
demonstrated the Inferno's sonic blast; while it didn't create instant nausea,
people agreed that even brief exposure resulted in a splitting headache.
Goldman has made sales to the military and the US State Department. One device
is mounted on a luxury boat for self-protection. "It can be also used as a
sounder or warning for school shootings," Goldman suggested.
On the more exotic spectrum, the Pentagon in 2002 revealed work on the Active
Denial System, a weapon that uses millimeter waves to create an intense burning
sensation. Dubbed the "pain ray," the military hopes this year to send the
device to Iraq.
The Pentagon has held two public demonstrations of its pain ray, allowing
reporters to be hit by the device, often to comical effect. At a demonstration
held last year in Virginia, heavy rain partially dampened the effect; it
produced more of a warm glow than a burning pain (though it was still strong
enough to make all the reporters jump out of the way).
Despite the number and variety of such weapons, it's proven difficult for the
military to actually use them, particularly in the case of the pain ray. "It's
been held back, because of political decisions," said John Alexander, a former
government official who specialized in nonlethal weapons. "They just don't have
the will to do it; everybody's afraid of the unknown."
Even if the Active Denial System were deployed, it's not really something that
would replace lethal weapons. "It will be a very limited number of items," said
Alexander. "We're not talking about a mass deployment. The idea was: it could
possibly be used for point defense, like protecting the Green Zone."
Doug Beason, a Los Alamos scientist and author of "E-Bomb," said that the
biggest challenge is a lack of a clear policy - and fear that soldiers will be
left without options. He recalled attending a recent military conference where
one of the presenters expressed frustration: "It is harder to field a weapon
that won't kill someone than to field a weapon that can kill someone," Beason
recalled the presenter saying.
In the end, that means US citizens, rather than foreigners, will likely be
subjected to some nonlethal weapons long before they are used abroad. The
Department of Homeland Security, for example, says the "puke gun" will be in the
hands of police this year.
As Cohen, the DHS official, put it at the end of his demonstration: "We're
trying to change from 'Don't tase me, bro,' to "daze me bro."

Last Saturday we had a really wide-ranging discussion as there was no particular topic.  We did though discuss the need for everyone to begin re-contacting our representatives, as Jim Guest has suggested, that is, at their offices in-person as we begin our quest for congressional hearings about our issues.  I believe that hearings would be more beneficial than seeking investigations because those may take many months which gives the perps too much time to derail the process.  Hearings are much easier to arrange and have a broader impact in my opinion.  After that, we could then talk about legislation.

NEW SHIELDING TIP FROM ERIC "THE GENIUS" IN CALIFORNIA
Take a remote control from a (toy) remote control car with a metal antenna and go to radio shack and buy electromagnetic red wire and hook the wire to the controller and to an FM radio and as you go through the channels of the radio you will find out where it is the strongest and leave it there.  Just lower the volume to a tolerable level for yourself.  But here is the thing - dont use a thick wire, use the very very thinnest of wires from radio shack, the red wire is the best so far and just use tape as you wind it around the antenna to hold it on both radios.  You're adding a signal within a signal.

For several days in a row, when doing errands in your car, you consistently come in contact with drivers who tailgate you, cut you off in traffic, or maybe pull out in front of you unexpectedly. Or you go out to get your mail and see someone sitting on a bicycle watching you from a distance. Or maybe you notice a sudden increase in strange cars driving slowly pasd your home. Or you get the feeling you are being followed but don’t see anyone there. Or you find garbage strewn on your lawn or piles of dirt where dirt shouldn’t be. Or you return to your home and notice that pictures or knick knacks aren’t where they were when you left.

Is this all just coincidental or is there something more to it? You might even wonder if you just have an over-active imagination or if maybe you’ve slipped a few cogs upstairs.

Over the past ten years, a phenomenon has become apparent that more recently has been given a name:—gang-stalking, also known as group-stalking, vigilante-stalking and predatory gang-stalking.

Over a period of time gang-stalking has produced some commonalities among those targeted or victimized:

1. The target is likely seen as a threat to a cause;

2. The target most likely does not know the perpetrators [1] of the gang-stalking;

3. Those involved in the gang-stalking do not know the target;

4. Those involved in the gang-stalking do not necessarily know why they are gang-stalking an individual;

5. The stalking is subtle but targeted and can be seen as inconsequential or everyday such as …

a. drive-by honking of horns,
b. drive-by yelling of obscenities,
c. hand gestures generally considered to be hostile in nature;
d. vehicles stopping and standing on the street in front of the target’s home;
e. trash strewn on the target’s lawn, driveway and property in such manner as to make it obvious that it was a deliberate act;
f. shining lights in the windows of the target’s home;
g. an increase in noise in the area of the target’s home;
h. tailgating the target then dropping back repeatedly;
i. sending the target messages that let the target know they are being watched such as…

i. the names of family pets;
ii. the names of children;
iii. stores visited frequently;
iv. schools the children attend;

j. day-in and day-out hang-up calls or wrong number calls;
k. vandalism to the home or property of the target;
l. graffiti in proximity to the target’s home;

6. The gang-stalking takes place over a period of time or number of years;

7. The faces of those involved in gang-stalking change frequently but the perpetrators often remain constant.

The intent of gang-stalking is to …

1. render the target, the victim, psychologically demoralized even to the point of committing suicide;

2. make the target appear, to the larger community, to be mentally unstable for the purposes of … a. discrediting and psychologically demoralizing the target; b. ensuring no one will believe the target when they claim they are being targeted;

3. alienate and marginalize the target from the larger community, even family, making it easier to psychologically demoralize and discredit the target.

The number of reported incidences of gang-stalking has increased measurably since the early 1990s when the transformation of American society to systems philosophy began in earnest.

Gang-stalking holds no political association with those targeted covering the political spectrum of liberal, centrist, conservative, ultra-left and ultra-right. People involved in gang-stalking display a common trait of needing to feel that they have power over the target even though they may not know that person.

Group dynamics, how individuals interact in a group, a general need of an individual for human contact and interaction, plays a key role in the structure of gang-stalking.

One high-ranking law enforcement official, on the condition of anonymity, has stated that …

1. law enforcement is under strict orders that they are to ignore all cases of gang-stalking, and if possible to provide evidence that the victim is criminally insane; and

2. the criminal justice system is strictly under the control of a small elite who ensure that no charges are pressed against the instigators of gang-stalking.

Gang-stalking relies heavily on …

1. the target becoming so psychologically demoralized that he/she believes there must be something wrong with him/her and is, therefore, afraid to say anything for fear others will think them crazy;

2. the target will have no evidence beyond his/her word that the gang-stalking is happening;

3. the target will have no detailed records or documentation showing what, when, where, and to what extent;

4. the target will not be able to find out who the perpetrators are or those involved in the gang-stalking.

Anyone who believes they are being gang-stalked should …

1. Keep detailed records and documentation of times, dates, and details; making those records as soon as the incident is apparent so details are not lost over time.

2. Take pictures of any evidence left by the perpetrators making sure to include a point of reference in the picture for identification purposes. For instance, if trash is strewn on the lawn, take close ups but then take pictures showing the house, garage, or even a car in the picture as a point of reference that the garbage was actually where you claim it was.

3. Keep detailed records of any interaction with law enforcement; even when law enforcement are friendly and appear to be empathetic. Keep track of who the responding officer is, what department he works for, what he tells you, what he does. If he removes evidence from the scene, note how he handles it, what he does with it. Know the procedures for preserving evidence and observe if the officer follows those procedures. Write it all down so details aren’t lost over time. Ask for an event number and incident number.

4. If you believe you are being gang-stalked, get a psychological evaluation immediately. This establishes that you are mentally stable when those involved and law enforcement try to intone that you are somehow mentally deranged.

5. If you believe you are being gang-stalked, don’t be afraid to speak up. There was a time when people being stalked were not listened to, were considered to be off in the head. Now stalking someone is a crime. The more who speak up, the better chance there is that gang-stalking will not continue to operate under the radar.

WHY NOT TO USE CFL BULBS
We are urged to switch from regular incandescent light bulbs to compact
fluorescent (CFL) light bulbs, to save energy.   However, there is a very good
reason NOT to use CFL bulbs. They create electromagnetic frequencies proven to be
extremely detrimental to human health.

CFL's operate at high frequency using an electronic switching ballast to chop
up the 120 volts - that's how they are able to use less energy when compared
to incandescent bulbs. Their typical operating frequency is in the region of
20kHz to 100kHz, a frequency range known to produce adverse effects on health.

(By the way, dimmers operate similarly, converting the electrical signal into
high frequency transients. Even clean incandescent lights will produce dirty
electricity if a dimmer switch is used.)

Professor Magda Havas of Trent University, Ontario, one of the world's
leading researchers on the biological effects of EMF, states:

“CFLs produce radio wave frequencies that radiate directly from the bulbs and
also go on the electrical wiring in the home or school. The closer you sit to
the bulb, the greater your exposure. Because the high frequencies travel
along the wire, you can be exposed in other rooms of your home as well as in the
room that contains the CFL.
    
Many complain that they cannot be in a room with fluorescent lights because
they feel 'unwell.' These people have difficulty shopping in large department
stores because of the lighting and often go with list in hand and spend as
little time in the store as possible. Their cognitive functions diminish and some
have difficulty recalling where they parked their car.”

Just one of the effects of dirty electricity, but a very important one, is a
dverse effect on insulin production and blood glucose levels.  Dr. Havas
reports:

"We can take a person who is diabetic and put them in an electrically dirty
environment, and their blood sugar levels rise.  We then put them into a clean
environment, and within half an hour their blood sugar levels are lower. It
becomes a barometer."

For instance, the blood glucose level of one test subject rose from 121 to
over 350 solely from sitting near a lamp with a CFL in it for a couple of
hours.  (He had not eaten nor drunk anything that might have influenced his blood
sugar.)  Conversely, diabetics who install filters to remove the “dirty
electricity” experience that they no longer need as much insulin, and some no longer
need any insulin.

In my own case, symptoms included severe insomnia, head pain, tingling of my
left arm and leg and frightening cardiac arrythmia.  I had gone to the ER
twice in an ambulance and undergone $18,000 worth of medical tests before the
cause of my symptoms was finally determined to be exposure to electrical
pollution. (Not brain cancer as had finally been suspected!)  When we cleared my
personal environment of the damaging frequencies, the symptoms disappeared.   My
thyroid also resumed healthy function and I was able to discontinue thyroid
medication.  

The doctors who had followed my case were extremely surprised, as they so
rarely see such a total cessation of cardiac or thyroid problems.   I believe
this would be more common, if more people removed the cause of their symptoms.

You could not pay me any amount of money to use CFL bulbs in our house.  

Another world-renowned expert Dr. Olle Johansson, of the department of
neuroscience at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, points out that the dramatic
rise in recent years of the number of people affected by
electro-hypersensitivity (EHS) coincides with the mass production and distribution of electronic
devices such as computers and cordless telephones that use and generate radio
waves.

Dr. Havas has completed a study on the frequencies created by various brands
of CFL bulbs, which will be released soon.  Meanwhile, this is what she
advises:

“Some packages even have a warning about the radio frequenc,y saying this
light may interfere with radio reception.  Indeed this is something that most
people can test with a portable radio on AM.  As you bring the radio close to an
energy efficient bulb that produces radio frequencies the radio will begin to
buzz.  This is known as electromagnetic interference (EMI) and is a concern
for anyone using wireless technology such as mobile phones or wireless
computers. 

But the real problem is that these frequencies are making people sick.  Three
independent groups in the UK, including the British Association of
Dermatologists, the Migraine Action Association, and Epilepsy Action, have reported
illness among their members who have tried energy efficient compact fluorescent
lights (CFL).  The most common symptoms are headaches-including migraines,
fatigue, confusion, dizziness, ringing in the ears, eyestrain, nausea and skin
irritations.

Not all energy efficient bulbs are the same.  Some do not contribute to dirty
electricity and do not produce radio frequencies and this includes a few
compact fluorescent lights, some LEDs (light emitting dioxides) and some halogen
bulbs. Unfortunately most of the bulbs on the market will make people sick. 
Reducing green house gases is important but doing it with flawed technology that
will make the user ill is not the right course of action.  If governments are
going to ban the energy-inefficient but electromagnetically clean
incandescent bulb, then they should also ban bulbs that produce radio frequency
pollution.

I would encourage anyone who has recently purchased energy efficient bulbs
and has since developed any of the symptoms mentioned above to test the bulb for
radiation with a portable radio and if the radio buzzes to return the bulb to
the retail store for a full refund.  Even if our government hasn't done its
homework, individual consumers can still make a difference.” 

Dr. Havas and her associates have tested shielding material for the bulb and
Graham Stetzer filters for the dirty electricity.  Both work well but they
don't believe this is the way to go, but that LED bulbs are the light of the
future, for energy efficiency and because they create no radio frequencies.

LED bulbs do not create harmful frequencies, and they are available in “warm
white.”  They are not yet as bright as most of us are used to, but they are
bright enough to meet our needs. (LED technology is improving by leaps and
bounds.)
