FFCHS is in need of TI's with many different
skill sets to be effective in several
committees being established and currently
active. We know that everyone's situation is
unique due to targeting but if you feel that
you can be of assistance in any of the
following areas, please
contact us.
TI Crisis
Intervention
Committee
During this past week we had to use the
services of an impromptu committee of TI's
to help with a situation that was stressful
to someone well-known in this community. It
then occurred to us that a regular group of
people on an ongoing basis is needed
particularly by this group because of the
regularity in which we encounter emergency
situations and there is no one for a TI to
turn to for help.
So we would like to assemble an on-call list
of people willing to meet as a group and
support, advise, refer, and provide
assistance to a TI in distress. As you all
realize, our problems tend to get complex
with all the variables that we are dealing
with, so several heads are usually better
than one. Any volunteers for this committee
please
contact us as soon as possible.
TI State
Organizers
The Senate Judiciary Committee office has
informed us that we just need a letter from
at least one Senator requesting a
Congressional hearing regarding our issues.
The objective of this hearing is to present
evidence and give testimony so that set
legislation is set in motion, congressional
investigations are initiated, and other
action is taken.
We have asked that TI's from each state
become organized to visit their respective
local Senate offices and request a letter on
behalf of FFCHS for a hearing.
Below you will find letters from
Representative Jim Guest, Attorney Jonathan
Wilson and Derrick Robinson. Please remember
there is strength in numbers! We urge all
TI's to electronically sign Derrick
Robinson's letter (FFCHS President),
addressed to Senator Patrick Leahy who is
the Chairman for the Senate Judiciary
Committee. You may do so by sending an email
with your name, city, and state to Cassandra
Lewis:
gardenlove1988@msn.com.
Each TI State group should carry the
following with them upon visitation:
We also recommend that each group member
present a one-page letter summarizing their
targeting. Please follow-up after all
correspondence to ensure it was received.
If you need help organizing in your
particular state
contact us.
This TI Survey Committee has been formed to
analyze the data received from the response
to a
questionnaire currently being
circulated. Analysis is critical for many
reasons and your help is greatly needed. If
you would like to participate in generating
a database please
contact us.
TI Grant Writing Committee
There are many areas that grant funding
could help with tremendously. Any TI's with
experience and/or writing skills should
contact us for this important endeavor.
Membership & Fundraising Committee
We would like to assemble TI's that can work
towards driving our membership numbers up
and campaigning for sponsorship needed for
attorney fees, media campaign, and
administrative costs. We would also like to
offer grants to TI's on an emergency basis
in the future.
TI Contact
Committee
This committee is currently active taking
overflow calls to new TI's that are in
desperate need of being oriented to their
targeting. We are also gathering data during
these calls.
TI Outreach
Committee
We need TI's that can start this committee
from the ground up to network with other
activism groups, lobbyists, etc. on the
behalf of FFCHS. It is very important that
we began making contact to gain support for
our issue. Please let us know of your
interest.
TI Media
Committee
Currently this committee is working hard in
several different areas. Any suggestions or
ideas will be greatly appreciated. Please
